Help for Earthquake Victims

Millions of people have been affected by recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chile.
You may help them in a practical way by donating to Reformed Church World Service
by writing a check to "NLCC" and marking "Chile Earthquake Relief" in the memo line.
Church World Service has partners on the ground in Chile and many decades of experience
in responding to disasters like this one. The people of the RCA can be confident that their
contributions will be effectively channeled to the greatest areas of need.

Pray
Pray for the people of Haiti and Chile, especially for those who are injured, homeless, or have lost
loved ones. Pray also for the hundreds of rescue workers and disaster recovery personnel.

Make a monetary donation
You can write a check to NLCC and put “Chile Relief” on the memo line.
Your monetary donation will be sent through Church World Service which has
provided much-needed food supplies and other aid to this earthquake-ravaged country.

Donate an Earthquake Relief Kit
You can provide an Earthquake Relief Kit by assembling simple items in a one gallon
zip-lock bag which is available at Grand Central in the New Life Fellowship Hall.

Please include $2.00 in each kit to help cover the shipping costs.

If you have left over items that were purchased in bulk, please place them in a
clear plastic bag and bring them to the Missions Table in the New Life Fellowship Hall.
These items will be donated to the Lighthouse Mission in Bellport.

Hygiene Kit
1 hand towel, 1 washcloth, 1 nail clipper, 1 bath size bar of soap, 1 toothbrush, and 6 Band-Aids.
Place these items in a one gallon zip-lock bag, and leave them at Grand Central in the
Fellowship Hall on Sunday, or bring them to the church office during the week.
Be sure to include $2.00 for shipping costs.

Baby Kit
6 cloth diapers, 2 T-shirts or undershirts (not onesies), 2 washcloths, 2 gowns or sleepers,
2 diaper pins, and 1 sweater or sweatshirt.
Wrap these items in a receiving blanket and secure with diaper pins, and leave them at
Grand Central in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, or bring them to the church office during
the week. Be sure to include $2.00 for shipping costs.
